Trina Lee, Vampire novelist

20 Questions with Trina Lee
Author of Vampire Novels

We first discovered Trina Lee on twitter, where she is known as one of Edmonton's most chattiest twits (she tweets a lot). She is funny, engaging, serious, and is a badass writer who loves her Dodge Charger.

Her bio reads: I have walked in the darkness alongside vampires and werewolves since adolescence. Intrigue fueled by such things as The Lost Boys, Ginger Snaps and Anne Rice novels quickly grew into a lifestyle of all things fangs and fur. My favourite vampire novel to date is Vampire of the Mists by Christie Golden.

The first recognition I received for writing was at the age of 9. After writing a Christmas themed story that was published in the local town paper, the Government of Alberta gave me an award for creative writing. I live in Alberta, Canada with my fiancé and daughter, along with our 3 cats: Sigh, Ash and Serene. A lover of Dodge Chargers and the UFC, I spend my off time cruising in my car or cheering on my favorite fighters.

  • Dress up and go out once in a while, especially if you rarely do. Dressing up can really make you feel like a knock out and we all need that sometimes.
  • Don't waste time worrying or stressing about things you can't change. It ages you prematurely and it's just not worth it.
I am/am not comfortable in the art of SELF-PROMOTION. Why?
As an author I had to get comfortable with self promotion. It's not always easy to push my own books but if I don't, nobody else will. Believing in my work makes it easier to promote it to others. I think belief in your self is essential in business of any kind.
When I am FEELING DOWN I …
Cruise in my car with some rockin' tunes or soak in a hot bubble bath with wine and a good book.
